The epistemic fact beneath ontology
The first certainty is not matter, law or cosmos. It is that appearance is occurring from a perspective. Everything else enters as content, structure or inference within that fact.

Physicalism usually begins with a completed physical world and asks how consciousness later appears inside it. Unreality reverses the explanatory order. A physical world is known only as an extraordinarily stable, lawful and resistant field of appearance. The existence of perspective is immediate; the view from nowhere is constructed.
Perspective is given. The rest is inferred within it.
This is an epistemic starting point with ontological force. It does not merely say that knowledge happens to pass through a mind. It says that the possibility of a world already requires a structure in which distinctions can appear, relate, persist and become known. Epistemology is the skeleton of ontology because “what can be” cannot be cleanly separated from “what can become determinate.”
2. Unrealism is not unreality
Unrealism does not deny walls, bodies, suffering or consequence. A wall remains resistant; a wound still hurts; another person exceeds your wishes. The term denies that realism can explain its own foundation. Realism is the correct operating description of a Qualified World: a shared, stable, rule-bound rendering whose constraints are not optional.
Reality is not behind appearance. Reality is appearance constrained enough to become a world.
The “un-” marks an escape from the assumption that ultimate reality must resemble the finished objects found inside experience. Matter is real as stabilized appearance. It is not promoted, without argument, into the source of appearance itself.
3. Structured openness
Potential is neither blank nothingness nor a library of already-finished parallel worlds. It is structured openness: the capacity for compatible distinctions to become actual under qualifying conditions. A possibility that violates every condition is not potential; it is noise. Coherence limits what can become a world before causality can begin operating inside that world.
Why coherence comes first
A causal story requires identifiable events, an order between them, stable relations, and the possibility of a record. Asking causality to explain these conditions uses the machinery before assembling it. Coherence is not another earlier event. It is the fit by which events can become mutually intelligible at all.

It commits to the primacy of realized perspective; to a world that is lawful without being self-foundational; to genuine constraint and consequence; to a process ontology in which events are deeper than objects; and to an account of reality as a changing present together with the records its changes produce, all relative to the field of observation. The past is not a persisting realm and the future is not a hidden domain. The mind is the epistemic boundary at which distinctions become experience, knowledge and record. It leaves open the exact substrate and the mechanism of biological rendering, without turning consciousness or soul into separate substances.
Scope: Unreality is a metaphysical architecture. It can constrain scientific interpretation, but it is not a substitute for empirical physics, neuroscience or psychology.
